AFTER

CLS offers turn key Landscape Design and Installation services in-house for all Residential and Commercial clients. CLS does not charge a fee for our design services. We partner and focus solely on the client’s needs, their desire to enhance their property, create outdoor spaces, and ultimately extend their living space.

The process starts with a telephone call or contact email from the client.

Step 1: Meeting scheduled between home owners and CLS team. Onsite interview with the client. The onsite analysis is the process of the designer getting familiar with the lay of the land; wind, sun, and slope. The interview consists of questions such as: Likes and dislikes? What is the immediate goal for this project? Will there be any new structures (patio) that we are incorporating? Are they any specimens you would like to see highlighted? Are we doing this in phases? How is the property being used currently? Client input is a large part of the design process. The client is encouraged to present their favorite plants as well. We are not offering a cookie cutter design package. We design what you like.

Step 2: A rough map is drawn of the existing conditions. A conceptual plan is sketched based upon the lay of the land and input from the client. The conceptual plan is a tool used to finalize decisions for the final plan. This step is completed onsite during the initial meeting with the client. Various notes are taken, ideas offered, suggestions made, and a detailed discussion takes place.

Step 3: A final plan is drawn incorporating the conceptual sketching and suggested plant materials. This plan is a detailed formal drawing of the agreed conceptual plan. This information is used for installation. The final plan, plant and material list, and installation pricing is presented to the client at this time.

Sometimes there is a need to extend the design process. At times the CLS team will meet with the client and discuss the final plan at the home or visit our local nursery to discuss plant options and colors. Different areas may need to be revisited and discussed. Different scenarios come into play through the design process. Our goal is to have a plan that works for the client.
